Parents of Kids with Infectious Diseases

(USA)
http://www.pkids.org
“PKIDs' mission is to educate the public about infectious diseases, the methods of prevention and transmission, the latest advances in medicine, and the elimination of social stigma borne by the infected; and to assist the families of the children living with hepatitis, HIV/AIDS, or other chronic, viral infectious diseases with emotional, financial and informational support."

We encourage global childhood immunizations, using standard precautions in daily living, research to find cures for hepatitis B and C and HIV, prevention of the spread of infectious disease and elimination of fear of those living with these diseases through the education of kids and adults. Toward that end, we're constantly working to find creative projects that will change risky behaviors, illuminate minds and ensure the good health of children.

As a parent group, our highest priority has always been to seek the best care for our own children and to prevent other children from being harmed by infectious diseases. The policies we set and the paths we take to accomplish our goals have been and will always be determined by the parents we serve and our Board, independent of other organizations, pharmaceutical companies, governments or multi-lateral agencies. http://www.pkids.org

The Houston Area Immunization Partnership

(USA)
http://www.immunizehouston.org
The Houston Area Immunization Partnership helps individuals, physicians, and others with an interest in immunization to make smart choices about protecting our community from vaccine-preventable diseases.

Vision: A community protected from vaccine-preventable diseases.

Mission: To eradicate vaccine-preventable diseases by developing and coordinating our community's resources through public and private partnerships.

To fulfill our mission, we advocate evidence-based public policy that supports high immunization rates, encourage the use of immunization registries, provide educational resources at no cost to individuals and healthcare providers, and promote a "medical home" for every individual.

Meningitis Angels

http://www.meningitis-angels.org
Meningitis Angels is a nonprofit organization founded in memory of Ryan Milley who died with meningococcal meningitis. Our board is constructed of parents who have lost or had children suffer from meningitis.

We host a great international support forum, bringing to date over 400 families from around the US and the world together to combat bacterial meningitis.

We stand strong, educating the public, government and medical professionals about all forms of bacterial meningitis, especially meningococcal and pneumococcal, so that its early diagnosis and treatment will help save lives. We support the development of vaccines and other means of treating and/or preventing meningitis and sepsis.
